Her musical journey began with hymns and classical pieces, but by age 12, she was also improvising—using music, art, and writing as her escape and sanctuary.After the loss of her father—and just months later, her husband Tyler, her high school sweetheart whom she met at 17 and lost to cancer at 35—songwriting and painting became her lifeline.
